ROLE OF A MONTESSORI TEACHER

The greatest sign of success for a teacher… is to be able to say, ’The children are now working as if I did not exist.’

~ Maria Montessori

What exactly is the role of a Montessori Teacher?

How is a Montessori Teacher different from any other teacher?

Here is the answer to the question!

Being a Montessori Teacher you help the kids to explore the world and find new and interesting ways to connect.

A Montessori Teacher is not just an instructor, rather a very highly qualified and trained guide who thrives to make an overall development of a child. The teacher helps the kids to express themselves better and encourages their natural curiosity and enthusiasm towards learning.

Unlike a Traditional Teacher, just simply reading out the lessons in front of the students and walking out of the classroom, A Montessori Teacher presents the lessons using the Montessori Learning Materials which gives a visual representation to the kids of what they are learning. The teacher ensures that the fundamentals or basics of a lesson have been properly understood by a kid.

The Montessori Teacher carefully observes the activities of every child. They closely watch the children and record their observations so that they can give a detailed report of the students to their parents. They make sure that the children have been thorough with the present lessons before moving on to the next lesson. They make sure that the children can take up the activities of their choices and engage themselves and they can learn at their own pace.

The Montessori Teachers are also trained to provide a nurturing environment that facilitates the growth of a child. They need to interpret the needs of a child and provide full support during the learning process.

They work to develop their social, emotional, and intellectual skills. They are required to monitor the students both inside and outside the classroom and train them to take up all sorts of activities.
The teachers don’t just teach. They interact with them. They create a better world for them.

Montessori Teachers help to create future-ready Children!
